木葉猿 生誕1300年

先日到着した荷物の中に”木葉猿  生誕. 1300年展”というポスターが入っていて、

「うわぁ、ほんまかいな！」と思わず叫んでしまいました。

木葉猿の由来は郷土玩具の中でも最も古く、土人形の祖とも言われています。

”養老7年(723）の元旦に”虎の歯”（このは）の里に住んでいた都の落人が、夢枕にたった老翁のお告げによって奈良の春日大明神を祀り、奉納する祭器を木の葉山の赤土を用いて作りました。残った土を捨てたところ、それが猿になって飛び去ったことから、素焼きの猿を作って供えるようになったのが木の葉猿の始まりといわれています。”

本当だ！７２３年だ！

謎多き木葉猿、とっても気になる木葉猿

Konohazaru has the oldest origin among local toys, and is said to be the ancestor of clay dolls.

On New Year's Day in the 7th year of the Yoro era (723), a fugitive from the people from Kyoto who lived in Konoha Village enshrined Nara's Kasuga Daimyojin according to an old man's message in his dream, and dedicated the ritual utensils to Konohayama. It was made using the red clay of When the remaining soil was thrown away, it turned into a monkey and flew away, so it is said that Konoha-zaru began with the making of unglazed monkeys.
